About the book:
The
book contains 62 articles; each of the articles is on
topics covering from the fundamentals to principles,
teachings, social and economic fabric, and do’s and
don’ts prescribed by Allah (the Exalted) of the great
religion Islam. Muslims and peoples of other faiths will
have better understanding of the fundamentals, basic
principles, and teachings of the last religion Islam
revealed to mankind through Prophet (Peace be on him).
The book, hopefully, will clear many of the
misconceptions about Islam, Ins-Allah.
Articles are written in a
fashion for use as a Friday Khutba “Friday Sermon”,
Alham-du-lillah.

Passages from the articles:
"Who is
Allah (swt)? Is there any proof of the existence of
Allah (swt)? These are the questions that come to our
mind very often. How can we satisfy our mind with the
answers to these questions? We can do that by using our
power of thinking, knowledge, and our senses of hearing
and seeing."
"Allah has
recorded in His Preserved Tablet the decree of
everything that will occur until the Day of
Resurrection, fifty thousand years before the creation
of the heavens and the earth. The Prophet (sas) said:
“The first thing which Allah created was the Pen. Then
He ordered it to write. The Pen asked `What should I
write?' Allah said: `Write down everything that will
occur until the Day of Judgment.”(Tirmidhi)"
"There are
more than 500 verses in the Qur'an dealing directly with
nature, the environment and natural phenomena. In fact,
there are 18 chapters (Surahs) titled after either
animals or natural phenomena...... It is astonishing to
note that the smallest animal ant has not escaped the
attention of Allah (swt) and so as the biggest animal
Elephant among His creations in making revelations in
the Holy Qura'n."
"Allah (swt)
has planned and created the Universe without any help
from any other and there was none as a witness in this
creation. So nobody knows what materials were used in
creating the universe and the time of its creation.
Those who indulge in studying the creation of the
heavens and the earth; of which material it has been
created, when and how it was created - is a study based
on speculation that might be right or wrong. Very little
is still known about the mysteries of this creation as
yet."
"Death is
a very well known fact. It has always been
indisputable. No one has ever doubted death, although
human beings rarely agree on anything, they have never
disagreed on their mortality.
Death is
mentioned in the Qur`an almost everywhere. The word
"death" and its derivatives "die, dying, dead" is
mentioned more than 160 times in the Qur`an. The Qur'an
has put a lot of emphasis on death. Why is it that the
Qur`an is consistently reminding the believers about
their own mortality while they already take it for
granted? To understand why we have to take a close look
at the verses that mention death in the Qur`an and
reflect upon them? Let us explore some of these
verses:"
"Justice
is Paramount in Islam. Truthfulness comes at the top of
the list of morals and Allah considers it to be the
foundation for all principles. A major global escalation
of violence is due to the absence of justice and equity.
Justice is a pre-requisite for peace. Justice can never
be attained without truth. A major mission of all
Prophets (as) was the “establishment of justice among
people."
"Islam has
laid down some universal fundamental rights for humanity
as a whole, which are to be observed and respected under
all circumstances. To achieve these rights, Islam
provides not only legal safeguards but also a very
effective moral system. Thus whatever leads to the
welfare of the individual or the society is morally good
in Islam and whatever injurious is morally bad. Islam
attaches so much importance to the love of God and love
of man that it warns against too much of formalism."
"We are
familiar with the concept of physical and mental
ailment. If the sources or causes of these ailments can
be identified by medical experts, then appropriate
treatment can be applied for their prevention or cure.
Many of us may not be familiar with the concept of
spiritual ailment. For its preventive or curative
remedies, we must first of all know the sources and
causes of spiritual ailment."
"Muslims
and Christians do have differing perspectives on Jesus'
life and teachings, but his spiritual legacy, as a
righteous and principle guide, his mission as a Prince
of Peace offers an alternative opportunity for people of
faith to recognize their shared religious heritage."
